چکیده

The truncated trigonometric matrix moment problem is a well studied object. In particular, one can find in the literature the extremal value concerning the weight assigned to some point of the open unit disk within the solution set of that matrix moment problem for the so-called nondegenerate situation and some special measure which realizes the extremal value. The primary concern of the paper is to give a basic proof for the fact that this distinguished measure is uniquely determined by that extremal feature.

An infeasible interior-point method for the $P*$-matrix linear complementarity problem based on a trigonometric kernel function with full-Newton step

An infeasible interior-point algorithm for solving the$P_*$-matrix linear complementarity problem based on a kernelfunction with trigonometric barrier term is analyzed. Each (main)iteration of the algorithm consists of a feasibility step andseveral centrality steps, whose feasibility step is induced by atrigonometric kernel function. The complexity result coincides withthe best result for infea...

The main result of the paper gives criteria for extendibility of sesquilinear form-valued mappings defined on symmetric subsets of ∗-semigroups to positive definite ones. By specifying this we obtain new solutions of: • the truncated complex moment problem, • the truncated multidimensional trigonometric moment problem, • the truncated two-sided complex moment problem, as well as characterizatio...

Frequency-Selective Vandermonde Decomposition of Toeplitz Matrices With Applications

The classical result of Vandermonde decomposition of positive semidefinite Toeplitz matrices can date back to the early twentieth century. It forms the basis of modern subspace and recent atomic norm methods for frequency estimation. In this paper, we study the Vandermonde decomposition in which the frequencies are restricted to lie in a given interval, referred to as frequency-selective Vander...
